Right — been on this thing for about four months now and it's stuck on my phone, reckon I'd write something up since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Am based in the UK, mostly stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was honestly pretty stupid — I couldn't ever work out what an e/w payout actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I'd guess and get a shock. Now stick my stake in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator is the part I open most — you drop in your stake, the odds and it spits out profit and total return with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn't matter. It also handles the multiples — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15s, a yankee, and that's where I'd always lose track. Have a go yourself, it lives at free bet lay calculator and it's free with no account nonsense.
One thing that genuinely shifted things for me was the nerdier bits. The odds-to-probability calculator which shows you how much the bookie's taking, and there's the kelly staking tool — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutch tool is decent if I'm splitting a race.
Not all sunshine though. Its design looks a bit basic — zero flash, it's clearly function over form. On my phone it's fine but the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. Also there's no proper app, it's browser only — fine by me just flagging it.
Anyway. Doesn't cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. If you still adds it up in their head, have a look — it's saved me a fair few dumb bets I'd have regretted.
