So — have been messing about with this thing for about four months now and it's stuck on my phone, so thought I'd write something up since a mate asked me last week. Am UK based, generally stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, for context.
How I found it was genuinely pretty stupid — I never could work out what an ew return would be once you get five places instead of three. Basically I'd eyeball it and then be surprised. Now stick my stake in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator tool is the part I'm on daily — type in stake and odds and you get returns straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn't matter. There's also the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, which is where most people I know mess it up. If you want a look, it's over at american betting odds converter and there's no login wall, which I appreciated.
One thing that genuinely changed how I bet is the geekier bits. They've got an probability calculator that shows how much the bookie's taking, and there's the kelly staking calculator — I use half kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit if I'm splitting a race.
Couple of gripes. Its interface feels a bit basic — zero polish, it's clearly function over form. Phone-wise it works though the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. And nothing on the app store, it's a website and that's it — doesn't bother me just flagging it.
Right, that's me. Costs nowt, barely any ads, works. If you even now adds it up in their head, try it — saved me a fair few dumb bets I'd have regretted. -
