Right — been using this thing for about a few months now and it's stuck on my phone, so thought I'd write something up since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. Am based in the UK, generally stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, for context.
How I found it was actually a bit daft — I couldn't ever work out what an e/w return actually came to when the place terms changed. I used to just guess and then be surprised. Now punch the numbers in before every slip, even the boring singles.
Their single bet calculator tool is the one I'm on daily — type in your stake, the odds and it shows profit and total return instantly, fractions or decimals. It also handles the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, honestly that's where I always mess it up. If you want a look, it's here no-vig fair odds calculator and it's free with no account nonsense.
One thing that really made a difference is the more serious tools. They've got an implied probability converter which shows you what margin's baked in, plus a kelly tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are terrifying. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit if I'm covering two or three runners.
It's not perfect mind. Its layout looks a bit basic — not much flash, it's clearly function over form. Phone-wise it's usable although the bigger tables are a squeeze. There's no app, just the site — doesn't bother me just flagging it.
So yeah. Doesn't cost anything, barely any ads, does the job. If anyone even now does the maths on paper, give it a go — it's saved me a fair few arguments with the bookie.
